DAVENPORT-A nine-school volleyball jamboree tournament hosted here Saturday, Sept. 3 featured a strong dose of Lincoln County schools. The Gorillas, Odessa Tigers and Wilbur-Creston Wildcats joined Mary Walker (Springdale), Lake Roosevelt, Chewelah, Republic, Medical Lake and Northport at the festivities split between the high school and elementary school.
Davenport won two and lost two of the best-of-three, hour-long matches it played. The Gorillas got a fight from Wilbur-Creston but held off the Wildcats in straight sets. Davenport then got a win over a 1A school with a three-set victory...
