OROVILLE—It took the Davenport football team 59 minutes and 52 seconds to hold off the rival Reardan Screaming Eagles in the season opener. It took significantly less time for the Gorillas to earn a comfortable advantage against the Oroville Hornets, with Davenport pulling away for a 63-7 victory over the Central 2B squad Friday, Sept. 9.
