Reardan soccer slips against strong St. George's squad

REARDAN – So far in 2022, the top NE2B girls soccer teams seem to be from the two schools in northern Spokane County.

One of those schools features possibly one of the best B teams in the state, and they visited the Screaming Eagles Tuesday, Sept. 27. The St. George's Dragons flexed their power with a convincing 5-0 victory five days after visiting Davenport and winning 3-0.

The Dragons were on the attack for the majority of the 90-minute match, and freshman phenom Carsyn Gildehaus had a hat trick within 25 minutes of game play.

Gildehaus could have scored up to six goals in the first half if not for some strong goalkeeping from Reardan senior Jaylee Abrahamson.

St. George's led 3-0 at the half and added two more goals for good measure in the second half.

The loss moved Reardan to 2-2 on the season.

The Screaming Eagles defeated Upper Columbia Academy 6-1 last Thursday and take on Northwest Christian, another strong league team that defeated Davenport this week, this Thursday.
