Senate, Congressional and judiciary races on state ballot

DAVENPORT—Much local interest in this year’s general election revolves around contested county races for Sheriff, Treasurer and Commissioner and a capital levy running in Reardan. However, races and measures with statewide and national impacts are also going before the voters in ballots that were mailed last week.

Ballots must be postmarked by 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Voters will choose between incumbent Democrat Patty Murray of Seattle and Republican challenger Tiffany Smiley of Pasco in a seat for U.S. Senate that Murray has held for 30 years.
