Reardan steamrolls Kettle Falls, Davenport snuffed by Chewelah

KETTLE FALLS--Reardan’s football team traveled to Kettle Falls and unloaded on the Bulldogs in a 36-7 win Friday, Oct. 28.

Reardan scored early and often as their offensive line opened big holes for Jaquin Stobel, Hunter Wyncoop and Aiden Chilson, each of whom scored rushing touchdowns.

Jakari Singleton got into the act as well, first on a touchdown reception from Rysen Soliday and again from Hunter Flaa.

Noah Hamilton kicked five extra points and Soliday connected with Singleton on a two-point conversion.

Coach Matt Clouse commended his team for their strong defensive play but reserved special praise for his upperclassmen who “took care of business,” especially on the offensive line.

The Screaming Eagles racked up 265 yards in total offense while Kettle Falls only mustered 118 yards. Singleton led Reardan with 87 receiving yards.

Reardan closes out its season at home on Nov. 4 against Colfax.

Davenport wrecked by Chewelah

Football did not go as well for Lincoln County’s other 2B team last Friday. Davenport was looking to spoil Chewelah’s bid for a three-way tie at the top of the NE2B standings, but the Cougars played like they had a lot on the line in a 50-0 decision.

The loss was Davenport’s worst of the season and dropped the Gorillas to 4-4 overall and 3-4 in league. Davenport will close an up-and-down campaign in a District 6 crossover game at Tonasket Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. with nothing at stake except the spirit of competition.
