DAVENPORT — Rob Coffman had won his re-election bid as Lincoln County District No. 3 commissioner following the initial count of ballots in the Nov. 8 general election.

With 2,825 votes (64.94%), he was leading challenger Jason DeBord, who had 1,498 votes (33.44%).

Coffman won the primary in August, which only tallied votes from District No. 3, with 733 votes or 57.58%. Debord had 528 votes or 41.48% in the primary in August.

Cofffman said he is overwhelmed by the voters' confidence.

"Serving Lincoln County has been one of the greatest honors of my life," Coffman said. "I will continue to work hard for the community."

Coffman has served as Lincoln County Commissioner since 2010 and is looking forward to another term.

"I am completely humbled right now," Coffman said.

Campaigning more could have been beneficial, DeBord said.

"I was hoping it was closer," DeBord said. "I should have campaigned more in the south; Harrington, Odessa and Davenport."

Debord said running a new business made it difficult to campaign.

Late-arriving ballots postmarked prior to Nov. 8 will continue to be counted until the Nov. 29 certification of official results.
