Davenport boys hope to reach bigger heights

Players hope for state berth after district upset

DAVENPORT-The boys basketball season last season had a lot of promise into February, but an upset loss to Lind-Ritzville/Sprague at districts squashed hopes of a state playoff run. Much of that team returns for this season, but head coach Matt Henry said the goal for this year is to take a more day-by-day approach.

"We need to be holding each other accountable every day," Henry said. "Eventually we'll look up and see how far we've come."
