REARDAN - Behind the scoring of Tenice Waters and Liz Bell, the Screaming Eagles defeated the Chewelah Cougars 42-26 in NE2B girls basketball action Friday, Dec.16.
In the first quarter Reardan's Jaylee Abrahamson came out hot, scoring five quick points. The Screaming Eagles were off and running, never to look back.
Waters took over scoring in the second stanza by sinking two-three pointers along with two other buckets on her way to a 10-point quarter. At the half Reardan led 21-11.
Liz Bell proved dominant in the second half for Reardan. Besides scoring eight points, she showed ball hawking skills by pulling down five rebounds and making five steals. She finished the game with 10 points.
Waters finished the game with 15 points, three rebounds and seven steals. Justine Flett pitched in eight points, Abrahamson seven and Liberty Anderson rounded out the scoring with two.
"I think our communication was much better than in our last game," Liz Bell said. "My whole team played amazing tonight. Jayleen and Justine's hustle was amazing and their leadership, along with Liberty's is phenomenal."
Brooke Bennett and Chloe Stach led Jenkins in scoring with 11 and eight points, respectively.
