SPOKANE - A four-game winning streak game to an end for the Odessa girls in the 1B state quarterfinals. The Tigers fell to the Mt. Vernon Christian Hurricanes 49-36 at the Spokane Arena Thursday, March 2.
Both teams had trouble getting their offenses on track to start, and the game was tied 8-8 after a quarter.
The second quarter belonged to the Hurricanes. MVC built a 24-14 lead by intermission.
That lead only expanded in the third quarter, as Odessa continued to struggle getting shots to fall. MVC built a 34-18 led that the Tigers managed to trim to 36-25.
