DAVENPORT - A Chattaroy girl with Lincoln County ties is this year's Fair and Rodeo Queen.
22-year-old Dakota Hanson, a student at Eastern Washington University, bears this year's crown.
Hanson was the successful applicant after an application process that included an interview over equine knowledge, a speech, horsemanship showing and an essay on why the candidate wants the title.
Though a native of Spokane County, Hanson is quite familiar with Lincoln County.
