Reardan girls lose 2

Screaming Eagles fall to Liberty

REARDAN - The Liberty (Spangle) Lancers swept the Screaming Eagles in a girls 2B fastpitch doubleheader Saturday, March 25.

The Lancers (4-0) won the first game, 19-0, and the second game, 14-5.

The first game was all about Liberty freshman Jordyn Jeske, who handcuffed Reardan batters with overpowering pitches.

She faced only 12 batters, striking out 10 of them.

Reardan (1-5) walked 10 batters, which allowed the Lancers to rack up the runs.

Liberty led 15-0 after one inning. The Lancers tacked on 4 more runs in the second inning.

Because of the "mercy rule" the game ended 19-0 after four innings.

Reardan showed more offensive punch in the second game.

Alx Clark, Colleen Ellis, Kaylynn Clouse, Tayen Zagorski and Mya Leibfried each scored 1 run for the Screaming Eagles.

However, Reardan couldn't match Liberty's firepower as the Lancers banged out several extra base hits en route to a 14-5 win.
