Davenport girls win Republic meet

REPUBLIC — The Davenport girls cross country team took first place at a District 7 league meet Tuesday, Sept. 26, according to “hypothetical team scores” posted to athletic.net.

The Gorilla boys tied with Valley Christian and Jenkins (Chewelah) for fourth; Chesterton Academy won.

Results from Reardan’s league meet at Liberty High School Tuesday had not been posted by press time.

Here are individual Davenport results from Tuesday’s meet.

Davenport girls at Republic — 3. Josie Wynecoop, 20:48.78; 5. Charlotte Soliday, 21:48.24; 7. Glenna Soliday, 22:48.34; 17. Jessi Philips, 25:00.35; and 24. Alyssa Kruger, 26:59.78.

Davenport boys at Republic — 1. Jaeger Jacobsen, 16:54.13; 8. Thomas Furman, 18:39.64; 13. Kyler Davenport, 19:38.20; 43. Jackson Guhlke, 21:50.68; 49. Nick Kruger, 22:03.43; 50. Colby Kiser, 22:07.12; and 51. Jacob Furman, 22:10.

Davenport and Reardan compete at Battle for the 509 at the Spokane Polo Grounds on Saturday, Sept. 30.
