DAVENPORT-After a season-opening loss to Moses Lake Christian Academy, the Gorilla football team has rattled off three straight victories in a strange, independent, 8-man 2023 season. The most recent victory was a 28-6 handling of Oroville on Senior Night Friday, Oct. 20.

The visiting Hornets, whom Davenport previously defeated 24-6 on the road Oct. 6, struck first with an opening quarter touchdown.

The first half proved a slugfest, as Davenport equaled the score 6-6 by halftime. But then the Gorillas pulled away, taking a 22-6 lead in the third quarter before capping the victory with a f...
