CHEWELAH - The Davenport boys and girls cross country teams each qualified for the WIAA state championship with their respective performances at 1B/2B Regionals on Friday, Oct. 27.
The Gorillas also had an individual regional champion, with Josie Wynecoop winning the girls race with a time of 20:16.15. Sisters Charlotte and Glenna Soliday finished fourth and 13th respectively and would have qualified for state individually if the team had not advanced.
As a team, the Davenport girls finished second with 74 points, two ahead of third-place St. George's and behind champion Garfield-Palouse...
