HARRINGTON-Keeping in trend with the primary election, Gavin Wagner had a lead over Kelly Foreman in the race for City Councilmember No. 5 after first ballot returns Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Wagner, a local farmer and artist, had 70 votes, while Foreman, a process improvement associate, had 40 votes.

The leader in the general election also carried the primary election 58 votes to 31, while Steven Wright collected 21 votes in August.

If that result holds, Wagner will take a seat on city council vacated by Joe Armand, who is moving to the mayoral role.
