Mills-Jay trial pushed to April

DAVENPORT — The trial of a man with addresses in Reardan and Spokane accused of killing an infant was continued to April 24.

Jordan Russell Mills-Jay, 29, is facing alternative charges of second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter regarding the death of an infant boy in a Euclid Road home in June. His trial was originally continued to Jan. 17, as agreed upon by presiding judge Gary Libey of Whitman County.

The trial is now set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, with a readiness hearing 15 days prior at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9. Mills-Jay has waived his right to a speedy trial.
