Harrington man injured in crash

HARRINGTON—A local man was injured in a one-car rollover crash three miles east of the city on State Highway 28 Monday, March 4.

Francis M. Pate, 59, of Harrington was injured after his gray 2000 Toyota Camry left the Highway and rolled multiple times near milepost 120 of the Highway around 5:43 p.m. Monday, according to a release from Washington State Patrol.

The Patrol reported that the Camry stopped 60 feet off the roadway and Pate was ejected from the vehicle. He was injured and transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The release stated improper lane usage as the cause, and said Pate wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Drugs or alcohol was suspected to be involved, and Pate faces a DUI charge, according to the release.

Pate was the lone occupant of the vehicle, the release said.
