Anticipate Desert 100 traffic

IRBY — Those traveling east and west on State Highway 28 this weekend should anticipate much more traffic than usual. The Desert 100 motocross race is expected to bring thousands to southwest Lincoln County, with RVs, motorcycles and vehicles lining up.

Lincoln County undersheriff Jesse Allen said no road closures are planned to accommodate the festivities, but a detour route that starts at Batum Road and the highway which loops to the highway and Kagele Road is in place.
