April 14

Traffic stops: 9

A Davenport man reported two people burning sage around a disabled vehicle on Highway 2 at milepost 260.

A caller reported a person sleeping outside the fence of the westbound rest area on Interstate 90 outside Sprague.

A Davenport man said his neighbors’ dog chased his child across the street on the 800 block of Eighth Street.

A caller said her grandson wasn’t following their agreement about using her third vehicle.

Multiple callers reported an unattended fire on Hume Road off Highway 25 north of Davenport.

A Creston man said another man having a yard sale on the 200 block of Watson Street would run into his house and hide whenever the cops drove by.

A Davenport man reported another man riding an orange snowmobile up and down 12th Street.

Suspicious activity was reported at the park in Wilbur.

April 15

Traffic stops: 7

A Davenport man reported four straw-hauling trucks lined up going down Olson Road without flaggers.

A Lincoln woman said cars were continually speeding past her Sterling Valley Road home.

An Edwall woman said someone opened a cellphone account in her husband’s name.

A caller from U.S. Bank in Davenport said a man was outside the bank taking pictures of the trees and picking the grass.

An Odessa woman said fraudulent checks were cashed through the Halme Builders account.

An abandoned vehicle was reported on Seventh Street and Second Avenue in Odessa.

A man walking to Creston was reported on Highway 2 at milepost 241.

April 16

Traffic stops: 6

A Davenport woman said a vehicle was in her driveway on the 27400 block of Wheatland Road.

A commercial burglary alarm was reported going off at the Dept. of Licensing Office in Davenport.

A Dept. of Corrections arrest was made in Reardan.

Papers were served to a Lincoln County Jail inmate.

A caller said her daughter’s friend came over to her house crying and vomiting.

An 89-year-old female whose medical alarm was going off was reported.

April 17

Traffic stops: 4

A front door alarm was reported going off at the Wonder Mini Mart in Wilbur.

Another commercial alarm was reported going off at Wonder Mini Mart.

A welfare check was requested on a woman in the Coffeepot Lake area.

A Lincoln man said he saw a suspicious minivan parked by the RV park.

A caller reported logging trucks on Highway 25 and Porcupine Bay Road.

Suspicious activity was reported at Davenport Elementary School, which was rerouted to Main Street in Harrington.

A Davenport woman reported what appeared to be a fire burning near the intersection of Teel Hill and Hart Roads.

A Sprague man said his neighbors’ truck kept blocking the alleyway behind his house on the 200 block of Third Street.

A runaway 16-year-old was reported in Sprague.

April 18

A Davenport man said he found a pile of garbage in a ditch on his property on Chase Road.

A Lincoln County Jail inmate allegedly tried to send letters to his children in violation of his protection order.

A runaway child was reported in Reardan.

A Creston man requested a hulk slip on the 100 block of E Street.

Suspicious activity was reported in Odessa.

A Davenport man said there was a vehicle on state land near his house.

Multiple 911 calls came from a deactivated phone number.

April 19

Traffic stops: 5

A suspicious vehicle was reported at Cenex in Harrington.

District Court requested a deputy response for a woman in the lobby with a warrant for her arrest.

A two-vehicle crash was reported on Highway 2 just west of Wilbur.

A caller said someone was causing damage to her mother’s Hawk Creek Road residence.

A sudden death was reported on the 32200 block of Mill Canyon Road north of Davenport.

A local woman said her ex-husband couldn’t deliver their children in Vantage because he didn’t have a valid drivers license.

A vehicle rollover crash was reported on Highway 21 at milepost 100.

April 20

A caller said three adults were providing alcohol to minors.

A Davenport man said he found a suspicious tool under his truck on the 400 block of Ross Street.

A Davenport man reported illegal hunting on his land near the 33100 block of Hawk Creek Ranch Road.

A caller said a sedan was swerving on the road in Davenport.

A caller reported a reckless driver southbound on Highway 231 toward Reardan.

A caller reported a possible fire in the trees near his house in the Hawk Creek area.

A caller reported a man sitting at grain elevators drinking a beer.

A Davenport man said his neighbor was pressure washing his vehicles past the noise curfew on the 1100 block of Adams Street.

A caller said a tree fell across a road.

A residential burglary alarm was reported going off on the 41200 block of Vista Drive in Seven Bays.

Jessica Ann Schimke, 38, Davenport. Arrested by the Reardan Police Dept. on a charge of driving under the influence.

Criminal docket-April 16

Kenneth Wayne Slack, who was charged with second-degree possession of stolen property and third-degree possession of stolen property, had his case dismissed after the prosecution believed it couldn’t prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt.

Joseph Lee Cooper, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude a police vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, had his trial continued to June 5 with a readiness hearing set for May 21.

Lexus Joy Zarbok was convicted of first-degree identity theft and was sentenced to six months of electronic home monitoring. She was ordered to pay restitution totaling $1,480.71 to North 40 Outfitters in Airway Heights and $475 to Darrell Roberts of Harrington.

Kaylee P. Dyer, who is charged with two counts of forgery, had her case remanded to District Court.

Alyssa K. Bray, who is charged with attempting to elude a police vehicle and driving under the influence, entered a not-guilty plea. Bail was set at $10,000 before she was released into the custody of the Spokane Police Dept. on separate charges. A readiness hearing was set for May 21 and a jury trial was set for June 12.

Adam Thomas Everett, who is charged with felony cyber harassment, was released from custody after posting bond on the basis that he appear for a readiness hearing May 21. Everett entered a not-guilty plea on a separate charge of stalking, with bail set at $500,000.
