Hanson hired to lead Odessa volleyball

ODESSA – The school district hired Dawn Hanson as the new high school volleyball coach for the 2024-25 school year.

Hanson grew up in Monroe, WA, where she played high school volleyball. She graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in educational technology. Her 23 year coaching career included stints in Eatonville, Monroe and Lake Stevens.

Hanson’s first varsity coaching job was at her high school alma mater, whose colors were orange and black, just like the Tigers’ colors.
