COLFAX - The Davenport Gorillas suffered a shutout defeat, 32-0, to the Colfax Bulldogs on Thursday, Oct. 24 in a Northeast 2B League matchup.
Halfway through the first quarter, Colfax senior running back John Largent opened the scoring on a 10-yard touchdown run. The Davenport defense blocked the PAT kick and Colfax led, 6-0.
It was the only TD the Gorillas allowed in the quarter.
Neither team could muster much offense in the second quarter. With 19 seconds remaining in the first half, Largent punched in a 4-yard TD run with sophomore quarterback Ryker Reed getting the PAT Run. Colfax led, 14...
