Bill seeks to restore local control over wind, solar projects

OLYMPIA — A public hearing was held Monday, Jan. 20, in the House Environment and Energy Committee to discuss House Bill 1188, proposed by Rep. Mary Dye, R-Pomeroy.

The bill aims to give local counties and tribes greater authority in deciding the placement of wind and solar energy projects across Washington state.
