Denning sentenced to 29 months

GRAND COULEE - A man accused of burglarizing an elderly resident's home and committing financial fraud pleaded guilty Tuesday and was sentenced to 29 months in prison.
Jake Keith Denning, 47, appeared in Lincoln County Superior Court before Judge Adam Walser during a readiness hearing. Denning, who faced a potential trial July 2, was ordered to pay a $500 victim assessment fee despite being found indigent. The judge ruled Denning could pay after his release. A restitution hearing is scheduled within 180 days. Both the state and Denning's attorney recommended the 29-month sentence.
