DAVENPORT - Football practices started Aug. 20 for high school teams in Davenport, Odessa and Reardan, launching the 2025 season in Lincoln County.
The Davenport Gorillas have transitioned to an independent 8-man schedule due to low turnout, with 12-15 players practicing.
The Odessa Tigers remain in 8-man, with practices with the team hoping to improve on last year's performance.
The Reardan Screaming Eagles have a solid 30-athlete roster as they return to the Northeast 2B league and a traditional 11-man program.
Football games begin Friday, Sept. 5 statewide....
