Community rallies for new court

ODESSA - Residents gathered at Reiman Park Saturday for a fundraiser supporting a new pickleball court, spearheaded by the Odessa Community Fund in partnership with the Columbia Basin Foundation.
The event featured live music, a catered dinner, and a blindfolded pickle tasting contest.
"The Odessa community has wanted an outdoor pickleball court for years," said event organizer Terri King.
A focus group formed in April chose the project as the OCF's first capital initiative. So far, the group has raised about $17,000 of the $34,000 needed for a 64-by-68-foot concrete pad.
