Jury convicts Reardan woman in burglary case

REARDAN — A local woman was found guilty of residential burglary but cleared of malicious mischief after a jury returned its verdict in her trial this week.

Justina Buffington, 40, faced charges stemming from a March 8 incident when deputies discovered her at a vacant home on North East Main Street. Court records state she was taken into custody at about 12:27 a.m. after a deputy noticed a white minivan outside the residence, which had been under routine patrol following previous break-in attempts. The deputy reported the door was ajar, its security bar removed and the frame pried.
