Odessa junior varsity team wins 25-23
Odessa Tigers junior Leah Claassen (No. 8) and Wildcats sophomore Aurora Hearrean (No. 10) compete in an intense volleyball match, Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, in Odessa.
ODESSA - The Tigers varsity volleyball team fell to the Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats in a three-set sweep Tuesday night at Odessa High School. The Wildcats dominated the varsity match with scores of 25-17, 25-8, 25-23. Meanwhile, the junior-varsity squad secured a narrow victory.
The Tigers JV team edged out a 25-23 win.
The Wildcats varsity squad leaned on standout performances from sophomore Sina Nelson, who led with 15 kills and four blocks, and senior Callie Cousins, who recorded 28 assists.
Sophomore Emmaline Piturachsatit added 8 aces, and senior Samiah Smoger contributed 10 digs.
