Crusaders clip Screaming Eagles wings in overtime

LACEY — The Screaming Eagles fell 20-14 in double overtime to Northwest Christian (NWC) in an away game Saturday, Oct. 4, at NWC High School.

NWC struck first when junior Mason Gassaway scored a 3-yard touchdown run at 7:02 in the first quarter, though a missed extra point left the score at 6-0. Reardan’s defense, led by seniors Levi Collier, Hunter Flaa, Wyatt Colvin, junior Blake Wynecoop, and junior Josiah Mendoza, responded, forcing three turnovers: interceptions by senior Lakota Eldred and junior Mavrick Frolov, and a fumble forced by sophomore Logan Valdez and recovered by Mendoza.
