DAVENPORT - The Northwest Christian Crusaders defeated the Davenport Gorillas, 3-1, in a varsity volleyball matchup Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Davenport High School. The Crusaders took the match with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 21-25 and 15-10.
The Crusaders surged ahead early, dominating the first two sets behind strong performances from sophomore Izzy Robins and senior Kaitlyn Waters. The Gorillas came back in the third set, securing a 25-21 win in a tightly contested battle.
