Odessa man faces assault charges

ODESSA — A local man accused of pointing a gun at three people during an October dispute has pleaded not guilty to three counts of second-degree assault.

Michael Frederick, 68, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for each count, along with restitution, court costs and assessments.

During his arraignment hearing, Tuesday, Nov. 4, Frederick was found eligible for a court-appointed attorney and was assigned Public Defender Dave Hearrean.
