Water relay failure spurs concerns

City reviews water systems

HARRINGTON — Many residents noticed spotty or low water pressure on Wednesday, Dec. 10, after a communication relay connected to the city’s wells abruptly failed, city officials said during the regular council meeting held later that evening.

Mayor Joe Armand told the council the relay, which was aging, caused the unexpected pressure drop. A replacement was already on hand, and early worries about a larger electrical malfunction at the new well were resolved when workers found the issue to be far simpler than anticipated.
