Grant supports training, safety upgrades

ODESSA - The Odessa Fire Department has set 2026 goals for equipment upgrades and training improvements following a grant award that allowed the department to purchase new life-saving tools.
Last year, the department received a $37,150 grant from the Gary Sinise Foundation to acquire an air compressor for filling Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) used by firefighters.
