Every January, once the holiday hustle subsides, my wife, Laura, our loyal black-and-tan bloodhound, Ladybird, and I head out for our cherished tradition: exploring the scenic banks at Two Rivers, where the Spokane and Columbia rivers converge on Lake Roosevelt.
