DAVENPORT - The City Council on Wednesday approved an amended resolution granting $2,500 in tourism funds to Pioneer Days but deferred a decision on a $5,000 request for a new aviation and classic car festival over site-plan concerns.
Mark and Lydia Vlk of Odessa presented the proposal for the Tailfeathers and Wheels Annual Swap Meet, a family-friendly non-profit event planned for Aug. 29-30 at Davenport Municipal Airport.
