REARDAN — A local man was sentenced Tuesday, June 23, to more than eight years in prison in connection with the death of 5-month-old "Zander."
Jordan Russell J Mills-Jay, 32, of Reardan, changed his plea to guilty of first-degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 102 months in prison, according to court records.
Mills-Jay had originally faced second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter charges.
He entered his change of plea in Davenport before visiting Whitman County Superior Court Judge Roger Sandberg.
He was immediately taken into custody to begin serving the sentence.
