REARDAN – Beneath the shade of the town park's trees, neighbors browsed booths, visited with friends and enjoyed a slower pace as the Reardan Farmers Market opened its fourth season Saturday, July 18.
Running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the market featured 18 local vendors offering everything from fresh produce and handmade crafts to ceramics and baked goods. More than a place to shop, the weekly gathering has become a summertime tradition that celebrates the area's agricultural roots and close-knit community.
The market grew out of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to organizer Lisa Cook.
