Chip-seal funding advanced

DAVENPORT — The City Council on Wednesday, July 22, approved on first reading a budget amendment authorizing a 5% matching grant to help cover the $740,000 chip-seal project.

Some members raised concerns about work quality, including manhole covers left below finished grade and the size of rock used on truck routes near the elevators.
