DAVENPORT - City leaders advanced a property request Wednesday night, July 22, that would let new homeowners keep a small rear building currently sitting partly on city right-of-way.
Robert and Nancy Barnes recently bought the house at 914 Morgan St. A survey showed about 8 feet of the rear structure encroaches into the 10th Street right-of-way. They asked the council to vacate that strip so the building would sit fully on their parcel.
