Verneta Marie Carstens, a 64 year resident of Reardan, Wash. passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at 84 years old. She was born on September 14, 1941, to Vernon and Eleanor Harris. She was raised in Chelan,Wash. and graduated from Chelan High School in 1959. Verneta moved to Spokane, Wash. and worked at the Seattle First Bank. While attending Central Methodist Church, she met Clifford Carstens and they were married in May of 1962. They recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.
