Teacher named parade grand marshal

SPRAGUE - Sprague Days will open with a familiar face at the front of the parade Sept. 12.

Jenny Morton, 37, a fourth-grade Sprague School teacher and FFA adviser, has been named grand marshal of Sprague Days parade.

"I consider this a great honor," Morton said. "This makes me feel appreciated for things that I am passionate about."

The downtown parade begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Sprague Days also includes live music, vendors, a car and bike show with a new swap meet, a beer garden, a dunk tank, free family games, a chalk art contest, disc dogs and a family street dance.
