REARDAN – Increased participation and a deep boys roster have Reardan High School cross country coach Tyler Smedley optimistic about the upcoming season.
The Screaming Eagles have 20 high school runners, including four girls.
The program has 37 runners between its high school and middle school teams, up from approximately 30 last season.
"We're excited that we are growing," Smedley said. "It's nice to have that many kids out because it gives you a wide range of talent."
The girls team has made one of the program's largest gains. Lily Witmer was Reardan's only female runner last season.
