DAVENPORT - Lind-Ritzville/Sprague outlasted Davenport in five sets Tuesday, Sept. 8, winning the Gorillas' patriotic-themed home opener 23-25, 25-21, 25-20, 17-25, 15-8.
Zoey Mendez had 19 kills for the Broncos. Jayda Lobe added 23 assists, Allesandra Mendez had two aces and 23 digs, and Rose Fedie had a block.
Davenport took the first set 25-23 and forced a fifth after winning the fourth 25-17. The Gorillas scored the first point of the fifth before LRS pulled away.
