Serving carries camo night win

DAVENPORT - Davenport beat Chewelah 25-16, 25-15, 25-23 in volleyball Tuesday on camo night.
Coach Jill Morrison said the Gorillas struggled at times with self-control but kept learning. She loved the win even if the third set was closer than she wanted.
"It wasn't as far apart as I wanted it to be, but I'll take the win," Morrison said.
She wants cleaner tip coverage and better baseline positioning, especially with new wings and a libero still learning her spots.
"Passing is great, our setting is good, our serving is phenomenal," Morrison said. "I'll take the good with the bad."
