Davenport and Reardan returned to spring sports practices Monday, Feb. 28. Teams are preparing for a full spring schedule for the first time since 2019 after 2020’s season was cancelled and 2021’s season was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Robert passed away Feb. 23, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born July 27, 1930 in Marlin, WA to Gus and Emma Zimbelman. He graduated from Marlin High School in 1948. Robert served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1951- 1953. He was very proud to be a veteran. He was a life member of the VFW Post #7395 and the Honor Guard. Clinic Manager Jace Angelly reported on the increase of Covid cases in January due to the highly contagious Omicron variant. At home in Odessa on Feb. 16, the Tiger girls had one last chance to place in the district tournament. By defeating Almira-Coulee-Hartline, they were able to move on to play for third and fourth place in Saturday's game at Jenkins High School in Chewelah. ODESSA – The special levy elections held Feb. 8 were successful for all three levies run by entities in Odessa. Both school levies, one for capital projects and one for other school needs, passed with more than 70 percent “Yes” votes to just under 30 percent “No” votes. Overall voting for Adams, Grant and Lincoln county residents within the Odessa School District was approximately the same.
