SPRAGUE – A Cheney man died as a result of a medical incident while driving Interstate 90 on Friday morning, March 20. Barry R. Strief, 74, of Cheney, passed away at the scene about 7 miles east of the city. According to the Washington State Patrol, Strief was westbound in a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup when he suffered a medical emergency. His pickup entered the median, the patrol said.
