Grant County citizens were advised to call 509-762-1160 or 888-431-9911 for emergency help in Grant County.     Farrah Wardenaar has reached a settlement agreement with the Washington Department of Ecology after illegally irrigating cropland on Frenchman Hills near Royal City. Water supply in the Columbia Basin Project is tightly managed not only to provide adequate water supply for water users, but to protect important fish and wildlife habitat. Mar. 31, 2014 – An 8-year-old Ephrata boy, Korey Kolves, has died after a car he was in with one adult and two other children went into a canal near Summer Falls Dam south of Coulee City.
