    Over the past nine years the Odessa Friends of the Pool have been working hard to support the Odessa Aquatic Recreation Center. The FOP was founded in 2005 by concerned moms who were willing to work with the town to keep the pools open through a budget crunch.     A recent disaster designation due to drought in Lincoln County has prompted federal disaster relief for local farmers and ranchers. A Secretarial (Secretary of Agriculture) Disaster Designation was automatically activated on May 28, 2014 when Chelan, Lincoln and Walla Walla counties reached a D2 drought condition based on the U.S. Drought Monitor for eight consecutive weeks.
