    Odessa students did very well at the FBLA Northeast Region Winter Conference held in Spokane last week. The students listed below have qualified to attend the state conference to be held in Seattle in April. The team of Carley Williams, Katie DeWulf and Steven Braun took first place in the Business Ethics category.     Jacob DeWulf is the son of Mark and Peggy DeWulf and a senior at Odessa High School and plays on the Titans high school boys basketball team. Coach Schuh chose DeWulf as athlete of the week because he has been a force defensively leading the team in rebounds and blocked shots. His offensive game has improved so much as well and he is averaging about 11 points per game....

    The Odessa School Board met January 22, initially in a workshop meeting to discuss policies, then in their regular monthly meeting. Despite a power outage soon after the meeting started, board members took out their cell phones and the meeting proceeded. The regular meeting followed, still in the dark.
