Sept. 19

Traffic stops: 5

Suspicious circumstances were reported near the county gravel pit.

A Reardan man reported a garbage dump on Farwell Road at the Spokane County line.

An abandoned vehicle was reported on Snider Road just off Highway 231 near Fishtrap.

A security alarm was reported going off at Rickey’s Corner Market in Davenport.

A caller said someone sent a message to a person in Almira pretending to be him.

An Edwall woman said someone hacked her bank account, ordered items on Amazon and sent them to an address in California.

A caller from Family Dollar in Davenport said someone locked their keys in their car in the store parking lot.

A Sprague man said someone backed into his car and was giving him attitude at the shooting range on Old Sprague Highway.

A caller requested assistance getting his keys out of his car at his residence.

A Creston man said his cell phone was stolen.

A report of a car overheating was made.

A caller said she and her husband came home to their lake cabin and found the hot water turned on and overflowing in the kitchen.

A vehicle lockout was reported in the parking lot of Lincoln Hospital.

A Medical Lake man said he was dangerously passed by a speeding flatbed semitruck eastbound on Highway 2 from Virgil Road.

A Creston woman said a rock “or something” hit her front window driving westbound through Reardan.

A caller from Long Lake Dam said a man drove a small car up to the dam and added the man usually frequents the area between Long Lake Dam and Little Falls Dam.

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle at City Park in Davenport, but the man said he was just avoiding his house due to strangers visiting.

Sept. 20

Traffic stops: 0

An abandoned vehicle was reported a mile south of Harding Road on Highway 23 near Sprague.

A caller said he was approached by a man saying he needed money to travel to get to his mom and wanted to sell gold jewelry and other items at the Washington Federal Bank in Odessa.

A caller reported an ongoing issue with a nearby citizen in Odessa.

A Grant County detective requested assistance in a possible missing person’s case.

A Horizon Credit Union debit card was found in the post office parking lot and dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office.

A vehicle lockout was reported in Reardan.

A Davenport woman said a neighbor of a deceased relative contacted her to tell her all the lights in the deceased man’s home turned off around midnight.

An Odessa man said his neighbor was repeatedly yelling profanities all night and early morning.

A Reardan man said he and his partner had been arguing and things were getting worse.

A Spokane man said he was following a possible driver under the influence eastbound on Highway 2 entering Reardan.

Sept. 21

Traffic stops: 12

Reardan-Edwall School District reported a suspicious vehicle parked near the school with a sleeping female inside.

A burglary alarm was reported going off on the 23600 block of Highway 28 south of Davenport.

An Odessa woman said a man parked a vehicle at Enos Road, got out, and got in another car before leaving westbound on Weber Road.

An Odessa man said a local citizen was harassing him and calling his work.

A caller from Lightning Nuggets Inc. in Davenport said a business check the business wrote was cashed fraudulently.

A Spokane County detective said their helicopter just launched to help assist Grant County with a search for a missing husband and wife.

A Davenport man said another man parked at an open gate and left the lights on in a shop.

A disabled vehicle was reported on Highway 28 at milepost 128 in Davenport.

A Davenport woman said an abandoned dump truck was parked in the alley behind her house.

Davenport ambulance services were paged to Lincoln County Jail for an unresponsive jail inmate.

An Odessa man said his neighbor told him his security lights came on and a man was seen walking in his yard on security camera footage.

Sept. 22

Traffic stops: 6

A caller said he hit a deer and totaled his car on his commute to work on Old Sprague Highway near Brown Road.

A Davenport man reported an injured deer on the shoulder of Highway 25 near milepost 18.

An injured deer was reported at Miles-Creston Road and Hume Road.

A caller from Odessa Memorial Hospital requested a welfare check on a man on the 200 block of South Second Street who went into the hospital the day prior with high blood pressure.

A Wilbur woman reported a UHaul eastbound on Highway 2 from Creston speeding at least 100 mph.

A Davenport man reported a youth at the local skate park on a motorcycle.

An Edwall woman said a man dressed all black was walking very slowly southbound on Highway 231 toward town.

An Odessa woman said her neighbor was yelling outside about how he hated cops and Germans.

A Sprague man reported a “shady” person in the trailer behind his house on North D Street.

A Harrington woman requested a welfare check on her eight-year-old grandson.

A Wilbur man requested a welfare check on his elderly neighbor living on Pope Street.

Sept. 23

Traffic stops: 1

An expected death was reported at Serene Meadows in Davenport.

An Odessa woman said a citizen was walking his dog on the street and began yelling and waving his hands in the air.

A Harrington woman said an SUV almost ran her over on Highway 28 and Kupers Road, then sped into the grain elevator parking lot by that intersection.

30 black cows were reported in the roadway on Schirr Road and Highway 23 near Sprague.

A retired Spokane police officer said a man and woman in their early 20’s was looking at houses under construction in Seven Bays and looked like they shouldn’t be there.

A Wilbur man said he saw a burn barrel burning with three feet of flames coming off it.

A Wilbur woman said a man attempted to charge her and they tussled on her front porch on the 200 block of Southeast Milmont Street.

Sept. 24

Traffic stops: 7

An injured deer was reported on Bluestem Road near Mecklenburg Road.

A stolen vehicle was reported on the 500 block of North Watson Road south of Creston.

A Davenport man said his sister told him she was coming to town to move stuff out of his apartment on the 400 block of Ross Street, but she no longer had permission to be on his property.

A Reardan man said a vehicle the Sheriff’s Office was looking for was southbound on Highway 25 from Teel Hill Road.

A car with a blown tire was reported on Highway 28 and Bluestem Road.

A Wilbur woman said a man was yelling, screaming, cursing and throwing things at the Davenport Laundromat.

A Harrington woman reported a car speeding and swerving across the road on Highway 25 toward Davenport from Two Rivers Resort.

A Sprague man said his elderly male neighbor and daughter had been arguing for 2.5 hours on the 300 block of West Fourth Street.

A Sprague woman said a drunk man was trying to go over a barbwire fence and got stuck on the fence.

A Reardan woman said a couple offered her jewelry in exchange for gas money.

A caller reported a car with poor lane travel westbound on Highway 2 at milepost 259.

A Medical Lake man reported a large black object in the westbound lane of Highway 2 at milepost 239.

A dead deer was reported in an undisclosed location.

Traffic stops: 2

A boat collision that occurred the day prior was reported.

A Harrington man said there were track marks in his freshly planted wheat field on the 17300 block of Coal Springs Road.

A Davenport man reported a man throwing trash out the window of his car in front of Napa Auto Parts.

A Davenport woman reported erratically driven motorcycles westbound on Highway 2 from Reardan.

A caller said his neighbor’s cow was on his property in a section of land that could lead to a road.

A caller said a woman locked a man out of an apartment on the 1300 block of Logan Street in Davenport after they were yelling at each other.

Ritzville Police said they took a report from a woman who claimed to have a suspiciously acting former cop car following her in the Harrington area.

A caller reported a possible driver under the influence eastbound on Highway 2 from Bennett Road.
