Unopposed candidates draw support

DAVENPORT — Lincoln County voters turned out at 27% in Tuesday’s primary election, with 2,387 ballots counted out of 8,916 registered voters, according to unofficial results last updated at 8:52 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4.

All countywide races were uncontested.

Still, several Candidates received strong support.

Unofficial results show:

• Assessor J. Scott Liebing received 1,920 votes, or 98.31%.

• Auditor Chandra L. Schumacher received 1,924 votes, or 98.77%.

• Clerk Traci Gants received 1,938 votes, or 98.68%.

• Prosecuting Attorney Ty Albertson received 1,869 votes, or 98.32%.

• Sheriff Gabe Gants received 1,914 votes, or 97.26%.

• Treasurer Emily Lybbert-Hansen received 1,874 votes, or 98.89%.

• Commissioner District 3 Rob Coffman received 852 votes, or 97.59%.

In Legislative District 9, Mary Dye received 98.30% of the vote for Position 1. Joe Schmick led with 78.44% for Position 2, while Karina Wallace received 21.43%.

In the U.S. House District 5 race, Michael Baumgartner received 70.17% of the Lincoln County vote. Carmela Conroy received 12.46% and Nate Powell received 7.88%.

Cemetery District No. 7 Proposition No. 1, a levy measure, was leading with 64.06% yes votes.

Results remain unofficial. The next update is expected at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
